The experience that Phorma Designs, Inc. brings has been achieved by working on a wide array of project types while employed by other firms. Projects included master planning and urban design, municipal design, commercial projects-ranging from retail space planning and educational institutions to restaurants and residential (new and remodeled additions). Each project brings its own challenges from small to large size projects but, treats its clients with the same professionalism and high design standards to assist clients to achieve their project goals. Paul Chabez Jr. is founder and president of the Chicagoland based architecture firm, Phorma Designs, Inc. Formed in 2004, Phorma Designs is a design architecture firm that embodies the essence of design to its Clients of which, Paul strives to place design in every detail to his Clients. Prior to Phorma Designs, Paul served under various Architecture/Design Firms in the Chicagoland area.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Paul later was raised in Joilet where he graduated from Joliet Central High School. Upon his graduation he signed up for the United States Marine Corps and served through the Gulf War (Desert Storm). After Paul's service for his Country decided to endeavor and expand his education in Architecture.
Paul received a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago. While at UIC, Paul participated in several distinguished research projects including the new UIC Architecture Building Addition and new Student Admissons Building Projects.
During Paul's internship working for other Architecture firms, his contribution and learned ideas were both innovative and notable projects through out the Chicagoland area. Such notable projects was a large scale redesign urban planning and design competition for which Paul was responsible include the Revitalization Urban Sea Front in Thessaloniki, Greece. Paul has also assisted in the design of educational facilities, healthcare, commercial and residential projects. As Project Architect for the Illinois National Guard Readiness Center and Fieldhouse at East Aurora High School in Illinois, Paul had spent two years managing and administering construction of this project. In 2004, this project received political, military and educational notary. Prior to his departure from working for other architectural firms, Paul has served as a designer and project manager for more than 20 years and now endeavors on his own for new challenges.
A Licensed Architect in Illinois, Paul continues to take his design work to the next level and consistently searches for new challenges.
